Its thursday evening, hoping to get my priority package tomorrow to get started on the latest two commissioned mosaic lego art portraits. 20 x 20 inch designs seem to be popular the last several months. Pet art is the subject of another mosaic to be done as a holiday gift purchased by a customer. I took the original picture and turned it into a mosaic design, .... check back in the next day or so for an update.

A quick turnaround with this design, it needs to ship to Australia and arrive in 15 days... yiks... Hopefully the USPS can get it there. A few more pictures added as I was completing the custom lego mosaic. Black and yellow are the primary two colors used in this design. THese colors show nicely together.

My latest commissioned piece is a 20 x 20 design, generally I start with mounting the baseplates (eash the standard 10 x 10 green plates) on a piece of 1/4 plywood. I have several days to get this design done, I am currently working on the holiday rush. Generally , I start with a photo and crop it till i get an image I like, then convert it to an image i can work with. You can visit some of my designs at motion5.etsy.com

Its been some time since I have updated this blog, I have continued to design mosaics and have been successfully bringing new art to the marketplace, I will continue to post my new lego mosaic projects as they happen.

BRIGHT COLORS and fast paced action......

Inspired by the great tv classic series from yesteryear... I wanted to capture 'speed' in style. I used some images from the modern rendition and came up with the following design. Much of my lego mosaics include some close up action, picture cropping to get just the right image. This design ended up being a 15 x20 inch pieces. Although I have had 100's of hits, I managed to sell 1. At around $300.00 , i think this is a great piece for any fan....

As an artist I enjoy exploring new ideas, current events and of course political barack obama art. The past year, I have seen numerous Obama art images, some contemporary others not so. Here are a few of my ideas for obama political art, these have been received well and I have managed to sell a few as well to some LEGO ART enthusaists around the world. These pieces measure 15 x 15 inches, incorporate red, light blue, white, and black lego pieces, approx 1800 pieces were used in these creations. Let me know how you liked them and your thoughts. Where to begin? ARt is my passion, and I hope to share my experiences, interests, knowledge and Oh... resources as well.
My windy road in art has taken me across many mediums and I have recently (2 years or so) been concentrating on Lego ARt... you know the toy company that makes those toy building bricks. I will be sharing some of my work, designs and inspirations in the days to come.
